Today I Learned Kumihimo

You can try it too if you like. I gotta warn ya though, it's a little aggravating when your trying to get all of those threads lined up but once you do that it's a pretty simple process and you can make your own unique cords to use for... well use them for anything you can imagine I suppose. I'll post a picture of my finished kumihimo braided cord once it's finished.

HEY David!! I was remember, doing this when i was little!!! Around 80's, this cord craft(This is like a Macrame)was popular in Korea and Japan. We call this "Medum" in Korean. Now days, not many people are doing this braiding technique because it was use by the royal family. Long time ago, this craft was only taught by royal family.
In Korea, only two people know how
do this i guess because of by the descendanto of there royal family.
It use to have a 250 of techique of making kumihimo, but now only 28techique.

...Anyway..little of the history of kumihimo.

Kumihimo looks like it takes quite a while to do. Are you done yet David? *L* I was checking out the website. I wish they had better pictures. More close ups. I'd like to see the detail. I have no idea how I'd use these braids if I made them.
